A five-point storm on the Baltic Sea completely washed away the beach in Zelenogradsk. This was reported on July 8 by the correspondent of the news agency "Vesti".
It is noted that despite the rampant elements and waves from 4 to 5 m high, tourists continue to come to the coast to take photos. According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, published in the Maks messenger, a northwesterly wind with a speed of 17-22 m/s remains in the Kaliningrad region.
Wind gusts toppled more than 100 trees in the region. According to official information, no one was injured in the incidents.
In the city of Kushva, Sverdlovsk region, where a thunderstorm front with a squally wind passed on the evening of June 22, more than 4 thousand private homes were left without electricity. According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, tree falls and damage to power lines were recorded in the city as a result of strong winds.
