A resident of Buryatia lost almost 1.8 million rubles due to fraudsters. The woman wanted to earn income from crypto investments.

According to the victim, in May she saw an ad offering easy earnings. The woman clicked on the link, after which the "trader" contacted her. The interviewee suggested to the resident of the Kyakhtinsky district to install a special application on the phone, which allegedly showed the status of the brokerage account. This is reported by IA UlanMedia.

First, the woman deposited her own savings, then she issued microloans and a bank loan. Later, the victim agreed to involve her colleague in the scheme, who issued a loan for 1 million rubles. To apply for a loan, the second victim introduced herself as a farmer at the bank and requested funds to open a farm.

The police are conducting a fraud investigation.

In Magadan, a 47-year-old woman gave almost 3 million rubles to fraudsters. The scammers convinced the victim that her personal account on the Gosuslugi portal had been hacked, and she agreed to transfer the money to a "secure" account.
