A man and a woman died in a fire in a three-apartment building in the Pskov region.

In the Pskov region, a man and a woman died as a result of a fire in a three-apartment building. This was reported to the Pskov news feed in the regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.

The fire occurred late on Tuesday evening, July 7, in the village of Golubovo near Pskov. The house in which three two-room apartments were located caught fire. The fire destroyed them and the roof of the house completely.

A woman born in 1938 and a man born in 1969 died as a result of the fire. Their bodies were found in one of the apartments.

The preliminary cause of the fire in the Ministry of Emergency Situations is called carelessness when smoking. 12 people and four pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that 44 people died as a result of fires in the Pskov region in the first six months of 2026.
