Magadan region is preparing for the exhibition "Street of the Far East"

At the Far East Street exhibition, which will be held in Vladivostok on September 1-4 as part of the XI Eastern Economic Forum, the Magadan Region will present its opportunities for the development of tourism and recreation, both already implemented and promising projects.

The exhibition is organized by the Roscongress Foundation with the support of the Office of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District.

"The Magadan Region is not only about industrial production and economic indicators. First of all, they are brave, strong—minded people who are open to friendship and ready to provide support. We can see how the appearance of Magadan has changed in recent years and the urban environment has been transformed. The guests of the region are welcomed by a new comfortable airport. The Mayak Park has transformed the city center, and the Talaya resort awaits tourists. The Far East Street exhibition was created so that participants and guests of the Eastern Economic Forum could learn new things about our Far Eastern territories, want to invest in new projects, see tourist magnets and, possibly, stay here to live," said Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation — Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Eastern Economic Forum Yuri Trutnev.

"Today, the Magadan Region is steadily developing its economic potential. We are increasing gold production, providing the country with valuable seafood, and setting some of the highest wage standards in the country. Our main goal is to make Kolyma a place where you want to live, work and raise children. I invite you to plunge into the atmosphere of our region, feel its power and hospitality," said Sergey Nosov, Governor of the Magadan Region.

The guests of the pavilion will be greeted by the interactive installation "Golden Heart" — the entrance point to the pavilion, a symbol of hospitality and the navigation center of the exposition. The visitor will be able to control the space through the touch panel.: activate light scenarios and reveal semantic blocks. An information desk with TIC experts and tourist materials will be located nearby.

The sculpture "Time" will be displayed at the pavilion. For the fifth year, a three-meter mammoth from Magadan has been decorating the Kolyma pavilion at the Far East Street exhibition. The sculpture "Time" made of scrap metal is a scaled-down copy of the five-meter monument located in Magadan on the shore of Nagayev Bay. The sculpture is not protected by a coating and eventually rusts on the salty seashore, acquiring a reddish-brown color, which was the ancestor of modern elephants. The sculpture imitates the existing imperial mammoth. This species lived in the area of the modern Magadan region tens of thousands of years ago. The author of the original monument is the famous Magadan sculptor Yuri Rudenko. The mammoth's "skin" is covered with various metal parts — gears, bearings — and resembles a clockwork mechanism. The idea of creating such a composition came to Yuri Rudenko when he came across mammoth bones covered with scrap metal at one of the mines.

The main pavilion is divided into four zones:

The "Power of the Territory" zone tells about the region through the prism of harsh nature, long distances and strong characters. The zone is complemented by a showcase with artifacts dedicated to the culture of the indigenous peoples of the North and the development of the region. The central touch panel controls the panoramic screen, where image clips about the region are broadcast.

The "People of the Territory" zone begins with an innovative three-dimensional screen with a "live presence" effect. Famous Kolyma residents "behind the glass" personally talk about Kolyma. To engage, visitors to the pavilion are invited to take a game quiz on professions, allowing everyone to try on a certain role, for example, a modern researcher or engineer of the North.

The "Gold of the Territory" zone is revealed as a system — through technology, economics, and a physical sense of value. Interactive panels demonstrate industrial projects. The online exchange visualizes quotes of precious metals in real time. The attractions ("weight in gold") translate the theme into a personal experience, allowing you to literally feel the weight and price of the result.

The "Present and Future" zone creates a personal impression of the region for the visitor through technology and routes. The immersive cockpit of the helicopter creates the effect of flying over the Magadan region. The interactive information kiosk allows you to collect a personal travel itinerary and receive it in digital format. Health of the North: the Omega-3 technological dispenser is the final focus, demonstrating the region's concern for the quality of life and the processing of marine biological resources. It is a symbol of the high-tech processing of Kolyma seafood. The Magadan Region shows how a unique natural raw material is transformed into a product for health and longevity.

An exhibition and sale of jewelry and souvenirs will be organized in the small pavilion. There will also be a zone dedicated to the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia, with an emphasis on the indigenous peoples of the North living in the Magadan region.

The Mayak installation will be located in the small pavilion. A stylized artistic replica of the famous Magadan Mayak Park serves as a visual bridge between Vladivostok and Nagayev Bay, inviting guests to "touch" the most recognizable public space in Magadan.

In the morning, the pavilion will be open to fitness enthusiasts: morning yoga classes will be organized on the outdoor playground. Guests will also be offered to try their luck in the interactive attraction "Get the ingot".

The flavor and identity of the Magadan region in the cultural program of the Eastern Economic Forum will be represented by soloists of the ensembles "Ener" and "Avlandya", who will introduce the guests of the Forum to the traditions of the North and the spirit of the northern expanses. The artists are preparing new choreographic and vocal performances, which intertwine folk motifs and modern stage art, reflecting the authenticity and unique energy of the region. Through music and dance, the artists will tell about the life, way of life and heritage of indigenous peoples and create an atmosphere of genuine immersion in the traditions of the North for the audience. Performances by Magadan artists will highlight the richness of the cultural heritage of the Far East.

This year, for the first time, the Magadan Orchestra of Wind and pop Music will take part in the cultural program of the WEF. The band will present to the audience a program consisting of recognizable and favorite melodies that will create an atmosphere of celebration and unity.

The XI Eastern Economic Forum will be held on September 1-4 at the Far Eastern Federal University campus in Vladivostok. These days, the exhibition will be available to Forum participants, and on September 5, 6 and 7, it will open to all comers. The WEF is organized by the Roscongress Foundation.
