The Ministry of Defense told the details of the liberation of Alexandrovka

After the liberation of Dobropasovo and Bogodarovka, assault units of the 36th separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 29th Combined Arms Army of the Vostok group of forces took control of the village of Alexandrovka on the right bank of the Volchya River. This was reported on July 8 in the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

The enemy held Alexandrovka as a large defensive area with prepared positions, strong points and dense buildings. A stormtrooper with the call sign Tsakoni told about the details of the combat mission and the battles on the outskirts of the village of Alexandrovka.

"I was escorted from the air, guided by a drone. As he approached the settlement, he met with the enemy and engaged in battle. After the work of our artillery, he continued to carry out his combat mission. Then he joined the battle again, already on the outskirts of the settlement. The enemy opened fire first. I was alone, there was nowhere to retreat to — I worked on them and continued moving," he said.

The company commander with the call sign Cloud said that the units of the Vostok group of forces blocked the approaches to Alexandrovka and did not allow the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) to transfer reinforcements.

"When we start getting closer to a populated area, we immediately block the approaches. Artillery is working well, the enemy cannot bring manpower, food and water there. UAVs (Unmanned aerial vehicles) and attack aircraft are constantly pushing, groups are bypassing positions from different sides. The guys go ahead, no one refuses, everyone knows why and why they are doing the task," said the company commander.

It is noted that during the fighting, units of the Vostok group of forces occupied the enemy's defense area with an area of more than 5 square kilometers and cleared over 1,000 buildings. The losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces amounted to up to a company of personnel. 17 armored combat vehicles (BMWs), 18 vehicles, 12 units of motorized vehicles, nine ground-based robotic complexes and 28 heavy hexacopters of the Baba Yaga type were destroyed.

The liberation of Alexandrovka strengthened the positions of the units of the Vostok group of forces on the right bank of the Volchya River. The occupied border, together with the previously liberated settlements of Dobropasovo, Pisantsami and Novoskelevatyi, creates conditions for further progress towards Pokrovsky.
