Russia has redirected supplies to new markets
According to the results of last year, about 86% of Russian non-primary exports went to friendly countries. Veronika Nikishina, head of the Russian Export Center, said this at a meeting with Vladimir Putin on July 7. According to her, the Russian Federation has completely transferred trade flows to new markets and even increased volumes — for example, sales of machine-building products jumped by 28% in 2025. The President praised the development of new partnerships and called on the regions to actively support Russian manufacturers.
What was discussed at the meeting
Russia has managed to solve one of the key tasks of recent years — to reorient supplies to the markets of friendly countries, said the head of the REC. They account for 86% of non-primary exports. According to Veronika Nikishina, the volume of supplies has almost reached the pre-sanctions level, and non-commodity exports continue to grow. For example, sales of engineering products increased by 28% last year. The President noted that, despite the sanctions, the growth of all non-primary non-energy exports reached 9% over the year, which is 1.7 trillion rubles.
The country will continue to work in this direction. To do this, the REC uses about 150 business support measures, from finding foreign partners and organizing business missions to insuring export risks and concessional financing. Last year, with the support of the center, domestic companies supplied products to 160 countries, and budget revenues amounted to about 750 billion rubles. "I see that the formation of stable partnerships with friendly countries is going quite successfully," Vladimir Putin said.
The "Made in Russia" program makes a significant contribution. Today, our products are represented in 50 online stores on the largest foreign marketplaces, as well as in a chain of branded stores that is actively developing in China.
In addition, the REC organizes foreign exhibitions and festivals of Russian goods in order to increase demand for domestic products. Assistance to exporters remains one of the priorities of the economy, the President reminded. Vladimir Putin stressed that regional authorities should also be interested in this. They, in turn, are helped by a whole export support system for SMEs, which already operates in 85 regions. The relevant centers help entrepreneurs, in particular, to develop websites and present them on the foreign market to a wider audience.
