The Dachnoe Tsaritsyno Festival presented the program

From July 10 to July 19, the Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve will hold the Tsaritsyno Summer Cottage Festival for the eighth time. More than one and a half hundred free events this year are united by the theme "Neighbors" to remind of the value of warm relations with people and the world around them.

On the main stage, the first half of the day will be family friendly, and concerts are planned in the evenings. From eight o'clock in the evening, bright performers will be waiting for the audience: jazz singer Mariam Merabovaya, the Colombian band Marimbea All Stars, the Odintsovo Variety and Symphony Orchestra, the soft rock trio Fabrics and the Camerata Komitas chamber orchestra with music from three centuries.

Daytime is reserved for children: at noon, performances for the youngest begin — the Snark Theater will show "It's Hard to be a Squirrel," the KukLab project will tell about the cow Liselotte, and the Rowan Theater will discover a mess in the cowshed. There is also an additional music program for toddlers and schoolchildren, when they get acquainted with instruments and various styles. On Fridays and weekends at 2 p.m. there are children's concerts. On Fridays and weekends, adults can enjoy theatrical evenings with immersive performances and a rap musical based on "War and Peace." Alexey Kislitsyn is preparing his own eccentric surprises with the theme of the Russian trickster Petrushka, and the Razgar art laboratory with a promenade performance with live music and circus tricks.

The State Historical Museum has prepared a rich program of workshops on creating Dymkovsky toys, linocut and making a miniature book. The end will be a dance master class "A friendly evening in the country at the beginning of the XX century", which takes participants to the era of country meetings, music and ballroom culture of the last century. And on July 19, Kosygin University is waiting for everyone to attend the plein air.

Meetings dedicated to family, relationships, and well-being will be held at the Star Tent on weekends. Psychologist Alyona Kurochkina will conduct an interactive master class. Yulia Dolgushina will conduct an art therapy practice on why we still need neighbors in the era of artificial intelligence. Olga Lykova will conduct a workshop on how to stop being afraid of dating, and Arina Yashina will humorously tell you why personal boundaries are the art of living in harmony with yourself and others. The days are rounded off by inspiring classes from Gorbushina Lab, where fabulous images get a new reading. The program includes meetings with writers and presentations of books dedicated to country culture, country life and harmony with nature.

The exhibition "My Neighbor is an oddball" will collect photographs of courtyard front gardens with amazing sculptures made of tires, bottles and old toys. This phenomenon, called "ZHEK art" by art critics, was captured in the framework of the "Russian Marginal" competition and preserves a touching folk aesthetic. And the artists Oleg and Vera Gorbushin created the interactive space "Art of Interaction", where the rule "do not touch with your hands" is forgotten. Their art objects based on Russian fairy tales can be walked around, touched, and even climbed inside to take fabulous photos and relive the joy of live contact with art.

In the creative laboratory, it will be possible to master macrame and create a lampshade. And in the laboratory "Happiness on the Hook", under the guidance of a puppeteer, old household items will turn into decorations. Everything that the participants create during the festival will become part of the final immersive performance.

Thanks to the Russian State Library for Youth and the Merchant Nosov Mansion Museum, a retro music lounge will appear at the festival, where vintage records by Vertinsky, Chaliapin and Vyaltseva will be played. You will be able to look into an antique stereograph, see the voluminous past and find out how the nobles and merchants spent their summer days. The master class on ancient photography will remind you of the most complex photochemical processes that were used in dachas at the beginning of the 20th century.

On July 17th, the Central University invites everyone to a chess tournament. And the Igornitsa project has collected about a dozen ancient fairground games from all over the world — the very ones that have been an integral part of folk festivals and festivities for centuries. Over the weekend, the program will be enhanced by the Mosigra company, and there will be even more tabletop entertainment.
