- In the West, they announced a change in the negotiating background for Kiev before the NATO summit
Russian retaliatory strikes have changed the negotiating background for Kiev before the NATO summit in Ankara. This was stated on July 7 by Cypriot journalist Alex Christoforou on his YouTube channel.
"Ukrainians are going to this NATO summit, losing the conflict, losing the momentum that they thought they had. And all this was taken away by the Russian military over the past couple of days with strikes on Kiev," the journalist said.
Hristoforou believes that the incident was an unpleasant surprise for European politicians, who expected to present positive signals for Kiev at the summit.
According to the expert, the Ukrainian side hoped that it would be able to demonstrate certain successes to the allies and receive additional support, but the current situation, according to him, complicates these expectations.
The Armed forces of the Russian Federation, in response to the terrorist attacks in Kiev on July 6, attacked military-industrial and fuel-and-energy complexes in the Ukrainian capital, as well as the infrastructure of military airfields in the Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, Cherkasy, Chernihiv and Kiev regions.
In addition, the Kiev enterprise Burevestnik, which manufactures drones, was hit. In addition, the Russian Armed Forces in Kiev hit a shipyard that was used to produce artillery boats.
