Military personnel on duty as part of mobile firing groups, when enemy drones are detected in the air, stop moving and begin to eliminate targets. The corresponding footage of the work of the fighters of the Zapad group of forces of the Russian Army is published by Izvestia on July 7.

"This is what the regular duty of mobile firing groups of the Zapad group looks like. We are on a light, mobile Ulan, machine—gunners are constantly ready, and ahead of us is a Tiger [armored car]," Denis Kulaga, a correspondent for Izvestia, showed.

There is no average distance traveled per shift. The fighters can travel as much as 70 or 300 km, depending on the circumstances, admitted a soldier of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation with the call sign Old.

When an enemy drone appears in the air, the fighters quickly pull off the road and hide the vehicles in the bushes. After stopping, the soldiers try to intercept enemy drones on approach.

"We stop, all the cars hide in the bushes, and we start working," said a soldier with the call sign Lipa.

On July 6, the Belgorod Region and the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) began using the new Ear acoustic system to detect unmanned aerial vehicles of various types. The complex allows detecting, among other things, Ukrainian long-range "Fierce" drones. According to the report, the "Ear" has compact dimensions and a light weight of about 700 g. It is equipped with a sensitive microphone and a multi-channel acoustic data processing unit.
