Rops' house on Petrovsky Island in St. Petersburg burned down almost completely. This was reported on July 6 by a correspondent of Izvestia.

Smoking fragments of wooden structures are visible at the site of the fire — firefighters pour water over what remains of the burnt-out mansion.

According to preliminary data, there are no casualties. The Art Nouveau building was built in the early twentieth century and has not been used for more than a decade. The causes of the fire are being determined.

The Rops House, which caught fire on July 6, is a two—story wooden Art Nouveau building built in the early twentieth century. The Ministry of Emergency Situations clarified that 20 rescuers are working at the site, according to preliminary data, no one was injured.
