The localization level of Russian electric vehicles and hybrids Evolute is named
In the second half of the year, only cars localized in Russia will be sold under the Evolve brand. Andrey Reznikov, managing partner of the brand, told the Izvestia correspondent about this during the Innoprom exhibition in Yekaterinburg.
"We conducted an analysis of localization scores based on the State Information System of Industry (GISP) about the level of localization in the segment of hybrids and electric vehicles. For machines that are relatively mass-produced, Evolve i-Space ranks first in terms of localization in the so-called hardware. We have 1,220 points, and we are significantly ahead of any electric vehicle manufacturer in Russia as of July 1 and slightly ahead of the requirements of the Ministry of Industry and Trade in terms of localization in this segment," said Andrey Reznikov.
He said that the new electric crossover i-Sky will be immediately welded and painted in the Lipetsk region. In November, it is planned to launch new welding lines and the appearance of additional car body colors, as well as updates in the localization of components, added the managing partner of the Evolute brand.
According to the requirements of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, electric vehicles should catch up with fossil fuel models by 2032, reaching localization at about 5,000 points by that time, depending on the models.
"Therefore, localization parity should be achieved within five years between internal combustion engines and new energy vehicles," Reznikov said.
Earlier today it became known that the start of production and sales of the new electric crossover Evolve i-Sky is scheduled for August this year. The Evolve i-Sky is equipped with a 218 hp (310 Nm) electric motor, which accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 8 seconds. A lithium-iron-phosphate battery with a capacity of 62 kWh provides a range of up to 424 km.
