Lukashenko ruled out the participation of the Belarusian military in the fighting in Ukraine

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that there are no plans to send Belarusian military personnel to participate in the fighting in Ukraine. This was reported by the BelTA news agency on July 6.

"We are peaceful people, we don't want to fight, but we don't intend to bow our heads to the enemy either," the Belarusian leader said.

The statement was made at a ceremony honoring graduates of higher military educational institutions and senior officers.

According to Lukashenko, the Belarusian people endured severe trials during the Nazi occupation and, on a "genetic level," they do not accept war.

On June 25, Lukashenko spoke about a meeting with representatives of Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky, at which he warned the Ukrainian delegation that Kiev's attempt to involve Minsk in the conflict would instantly change its quality. At the same time, he stressed that Minsk does not want to fight with Ukrainians, who in turn do not want to fight with Belarusians.

Zelensky said on June 24 that Belarus had turned off the repeaters, which were allegedly used to adjust strikes on Ukraine from the territory of the republic. According to him, they stopped working on June 22.
