Every second Russian would like to redevelop an apartment.
Almost half of Russians would like to change the layout of their apartment, but the main obstacles were the high cost of repairs and the difficulty of approving changes. This was reported to Izvestia on July 7 by the Granel Group of Companies.
According to a study conducted among real estate buyers, 49% of respondents would like to change the apartment, but have not yet decided on this step. Only 7% of the participants have already completed the renovation.
The main problem was the high cost of repairs, 35% of respondents said. Another 30% indicated the complexity of the approvals and the risk of rejection by management companies or government authorities. Technical limitations of the house were noted by 23% of the participants, while fear of protracted repairs, lack of time and disagreements with family members were noted by 13%, 8% and 6%, respectively.
"That is why today there is a growing demand for apartments with thoughtful and functional planning solutions that allow you to live comfortably without the need for further approvals and difficulties with changing the space," commented Victoria Korchinskaya, Director of the Analytics Department at Granel Group.
Boris Sidorov, director of Kashirsky Dvor Shopping center, told Izvestia on June 6 that Russians are less likely to organize repairs on their own. According to him, more and more people prefer to entrust the selection of materials, the search for contractors and the control of work to professionals, or choose ready-made solutions.
