The last time a player playing in a world Championship for the first time scored seven goals was in 1974. Then the Pole Grzegorz Lato achieved such an achievement. The absolute record holder of the tournament remains Frenchman Just Fontaine, who scored 13 goals against opponents at the 1958 World Cup.

Holland is 25 years old and has represented Manchester City in England since the summer of 2022. During this period, the striker became the top scorer of the English championship three times. Holand won the national championship and the FA Cup twice as a member of the Citizens. He also has one victory each in the National Super Cup, the English League Cup, the Champions League and the UEFA Super Cup.

On July 5, the Norwegian national team beat Brazil and reached the quarterfinals of the World Cup. The victory for the Norwegians was brought by striker Erling Holand, who scored a double (79th and 90th minutes). Neymar scored the only goal for Brazil. He converted a penalty kick in added time to the second half.
