In one of the tactical areas of the special military operation, Sergeant Dmitry Kamyanov ensured the safe withdrawal of a group of subordinates from the area of artillery fire of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was announced on July 6 by the Russian Defense Ministry.
It is specified that the sergeant, accompanying the evacuation group from the line of contact, showed efficiency and experience, thanks to which losses among the personnel were avoided. While driving, he also noticed an enemy unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) flying and destroyed it with small arms.
The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the decisive actions of the commander of the motorized rifle platoon, Second Lieutenant Pavel Gretsov, who performed a combat mission to protect and defend his unit.
After receiving information about the approach of two enemy UAVs, he ordered the electronic warfare (EW) team to use the Groza product, which made it possible to suppress the drones and prevent casualties among the personnel.
Thanks to the professionalism and determination of both commanders, the Russian military managed to complete combat missions without losses.
On July 5, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that Andrei Yefremov, a junior sergeant of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, who was carrying out tasks to deliver ammunition to the positions, shot down two Ukrainian attack drones and rescued the equipment entrusted to him. In addition, the calculation number of the D-30 howitzer, Private Sergei Skvortsov, who was carrying out a combat mission to support assault units, destroyed an aerial reconnaissance point and an enemy vehicle, and also discovered and eliminated an AFU FPV drone.
