In New York, a seaplane carrying eight people crashed in the East River Strait, injuring two people. This was reported on July 5 by the New York Post (NYP) newspaper, citing government officials.

"On Sunday, a seaplane with eight passengers on board crashed in the East River in New York. Rescuers arrived at the scene," the text of the publication says.

It is noted that the aircraft made a hard landing on choppy water and partially overturned. The New York City Fire Department rescued all eight passengers, and two victims with minor injuries were examined by paramedics. The incident occurred near the Manhattan ferry Crossing and the Skyport terminal.

It follows from the publication that after the evacuation was completed, the plane was put on the water and towed to the pier. At least five vessels participated in the rescue operation, and another seaplane was spotted nearby. The police are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the incident.

A Saudi Aramco helicopter crashed in the Ras Tanura region of Saudi Arabia, killing all 14 people on board, the kingdom's Ministry of Energy announced on its website on June 28. The ministry clarified that all the victims were citizens of Saudi Arabia.
