In an interview, Otar Kushanashvili, a journalist, provided information that the entourage began receiving calls warning of a lawsuit from representatives of Valeria Chekalina. The reason was his public doubts about the severity of the blogger's illness. The journalist suggested that patients with stage four cancer rarely lead such an active lifestyle.

"Some people called my people yesterday and threatened to sue. I am ready to say through myself: any day, at any hour," Kushanashvili said.

In turn, Oleg Balma-Khalgaev, the blogger's lawyer, told Izvestia that he had no information about the preparation of any claims against the journalist. When asked about a possible trial, he answered briefly.

"No, we don't know anything," he stressed.
