A criminal case has been opened in the Voronezh Region over a traffic accident involving a passenger bus and a truck in the Bobrovsky district. This was reported on July 5 in the regional investigative department of the Investigative Committee (SU IC).

"A criminal case has been opened under Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Provision of services that do not meet the requirements for the safety of life and health of consumers")," the message in the Maks messenger says.

As part of the investigation, an inspection of the accident site was carried out, the victims, the driver and the management of the carrier organization are being questioned. Examinations have been appointed, and documentation is being studied.

The fact that a regular bus collided with a truck on the M-4 "Don" highway in the Bobrovsky district became known earlier that day. As a result of the accident, 12 people were injured — the bus driver and 11 passengers, they were taken to the hospital. There were 26 passengers on the bus. According to preliminary data, the 62-year-old bus driver could not maintain a safe distance.
