The Russians were told the approximate size of the mother capital in 2027

The amount of maternity capital in 2027 may amount to about 767 thousand rubles for the first child and about 1 million 13 thousand rubles for the second, if the funds for the first were not paid. This was announced on Sunday, July 5, by State Duma Deputy Alexei Govyrin.

"Now we can use a guideline of about 5.2% for the forecast. With this ratio, the amount for the first child will grow to about 767 thousand rubles," the parliamentarian said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

Govyrin clarified that if the family has already realized the right to capital for the first child, the additional payment at the birth of the second will amount to about 247 thousand rubles. In this case, the maximum payment will approach 1 million 13 thousand rubles, the deputy explained.

The agency's interlocutor added that the government will determine the final amount of payments after the inflation results for the current year are summed up.

Yaroslav Nilov, head of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs, announced on June 28 that the next indexation of maternity capital and other social benefits in Russia is scheduled for February 1, 2027, and their amount will be increased in accordance with the actual inflation rate for 2026.
