In July, the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation plans to approve a new federal state educational standard for grades 10-11, which will become effective on September 1, 2027. This was announced on July 5 by the head of the Ministry Sergey Kravtsov.

"Programs in mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology will become more applied, and skills in working with artificial intelligence technologies will be included in the list of meta-subject results. The project is expected to be approved in July," Kravtsov told RIA Novosti.

The Minister stressed that the new system will allow students to acquire knowledge that meets their educational and professional plans, as well as the requirements of the future labor market.

On July 1, Kravtsov announced the phased introduction of a new school subject, the Spiritual and Moral Culture of Russia. It was specified that the DNCR subject will be studied from the second half of the 2026/27 academic year in the fifth grades (17 hours), and from the 2027/28 academic year — in the sixth and seventh grades (34 hours each).
