Tokmak's administration called the Ukrainian Armed Forces strike on the market the most massive attack on the area.

The attack by drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the city market in Tokmak, Zaporizhia region, has become the most massive of all time in terms of the number of dead and injured civilians. This was announced on July 3 by the administration of the Tokmak municipal district.

"In a crowded place, to hit civilians so much, during rush hour, yes, this is the first time. <...> But to be so specific, purposefully, realizing that this will be a real killing of people — this is the first time. And even more so, this is a special cruelty," TASS quoted a representative of the district administration as saying.

The authorities also reported that nine victims are in the surgical department of Tokmak hospital, five people have been transferred to medical institutions in Melitopol and Berdyansk, and four more are undergoing outpatient treatment. It is specified that there are no children among the dead and injured.

On July 3, the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked a market in Tokmak, Zaporizhia region. Five people were killed and at least 18 others were injured. Four of them were diagnosed with severe traumatic brain injuries. The Investigative Committee of Russia has opened a criminal case on the terrorist attack. Rodion Miroshnik, the Russian Foreign Ministry's Ambassador-at-large for crimes of the Kiev regime, called the attack by Ukrainian militants on the Tokmak market a war crime.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova noted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces attack is a heinous war crime that Moscow strongly condemns, and Russian Human Rights Commissioner Yana Lantratova pointed to Kiev's lack of morality.
