- In Transbaikalia, for the first time in 38 years, the bridge over the Hila was renovated
A bridge across the Khila River was commissioned in the Trans-Baikal Territory. The repair of the structure took place on the Novaya Kuka — Mogzon—Khilok highway, which connects Chita and Khilok districts, the press service of the regional government reports.
The bridge is 75 m long and 10 m wide and was built back in 1988. Since then, major repairs have never been carried out, writes ChitaMedia news agency.
The road workers have updated the pavement, replaced the railing, stairwells and installed new information signs.
The New Cook—Mogzon—Khilok highway is important for the region. It leads to a popular holiday destination, the Tuzhi Land Art Park. The length of the road exceeds 200 km.
Earlier it was reported that a new protective layer of the road surface is being laid on the federal highway A-350 Chita — Zabaikalsk. There are plans to upgrade more than 70 km of the track.
