A fighter of the Russian Armed Forces spoke about the reaction of residents of Krasny Liman to his release.

The civilians of Krasny Liman greeted the Russian soldiers with tears of joy in their eyes. This was stated on July 3 by the deputy commander of the assault company for military and political work of the 19th Tank Regiment of the 25th Combined Arms Army of the Zapad group of forces with the call sign Aslib.

"When they entered Krasny Estuary, they found civilians in the basements who were afraid to go out into the fresh air. When they saw us, the Russian fighters, they had tears of joy, they said: "You have finally come, you will help us, you will protect us," he said.

According to Aslib, Russian military personnel provided first aid to local residents and shared food with them, if necessary. According to the deputy political officer of the company, such a reaction of citizens was a great incentive for the fighters. He noted that the soldiers see the sincere gratitude of the people and rejoice at the realization that they are doing the right thing.

On the same day, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that operators of FPV drones and unmanned systems of the Zapad group of forces disrupted the rotation of Ukrainian units on the outskirts of Krasny Liman in the Donetsk People's Republic. Attack drones, including fiber-optic control devices, are actively used to destroy equipment and manpower.
