Storm warning announced in Stavropol region due to hail rains

A storm warning has been issued in the Stavropol Territory due to rains and strong winds. Bad weather will hit the region on the evening of July 3 — from 18:00 to 20:00, according to the Russian Emergency Service.

According to forecasters, heavy rain is expected in combination with hail and thunderstorms. Wind gusts can reach 20-25 m/s. This weather will continue until the end of the day on July 5, writes IA StavropolMedia.

There is also a possibility of emergencies related to flooding of low-lying areas, disruptions in the operation of drainage systems, damage to roofs, falling of weakly fixed structures and trees.

Earlier it was reported that from July 1 to July 20, a special fire protection regime will operate in Stavropol. Warning signs will be installed in the forests, roads will be closed and entry control points will be set up.
