SWM cars began to be produced in the Russian Federation on a full cycle
Kaliningrad Avtotor plant has launched a welding line for the production of crossovers of the Chinese brand SWM. Now the company has switched to the production of machines of this brand using full-cycle technology, which includes welding, painting and assembly. This is stated in the message of the SWM press service, which was received by Izvestia on July 3.
The new line will produce the G05Pro and G01F crossovers, as well as the G01Pro and G03F. Full-cycle vehicles are expected to go on sale in the near future.
Vyacheslav Galuzinsky, CEO of Shinery Motors Rus LLC, said that welding production "guarantees high quality and adaptation to Russian climatic conditions," and galvanizing the bodies will provide protection against corrosion. SWM representatives pointed out that by launching the welding line, logistical costs are reduced, which guarantees a more stable price for the buyer.
According to the data on the SWM website, the brand's model range in Russia now includes the G01 crossovers (from 1.92 million rubles) and G01F (from 2.17 million rubles), as well as the seven-seat G05 Pro (from 2.15 million rubles).
SWM cars entered the Russian market at the end of 2023. As reported on March 27, as of the beginning of spring, 6.3 thousand cars of this brand were sold in the country.
