- CNBC reported on Trump's purchase of shares of tech giants in the event of a market collapse in 2025
In 2025, US President Donald Trump acquired shares of major technology companies during a market crash caused by the tariff policy of the American administration. This was reported on July 3 by CNBC.
"President Donald Trump made 327 stock purchases on April 8, 2025, while markets were in turmoil due to his massive plan to impose tariffs as part of the Liberation Day," the publication says.
It is specified that active purchases occurred at the end of a four-day decline in the market, provoked by the announcement of plans to impose high import duties. Among the shares acquired by Trump were securities of Apple, Alphabet, Amazon, Microsoft and Nvidia.
According to the analysis of the TV channel, Trump mainly bought shares of the largest technology companies, which have noticeably lost value.
CNBC reported on July 1 that Trump's income from cryptocurrencies in 2025 exceeded $500 million. The report indicated that the American leader's income from cryptocurrencies includes about $515 million from the sale of tokens issued by World Liberty Financial and $65 million from the sale of shares in the WLF holding company.
