The expert named the region with the highest pension allowance

Residents of the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug receive the highest pension allowance, which is associated with the highest living wage in the region. This was announced on July 3 by Igor Balynin, an associate professor at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation.

"If we assume that the total amount of financial support for a pensioner will be 15.5 thousand rubles, then the amount of social supplement in the regions will be equal to 13,166 rubles in the Kamchatka Territory," he shared in an interview with TASS.

The expert noted that in the Magadan region the surcharge was 12,840 rubles, in the Nenets Autonomous District — 11,212 rubles, and in Chukotka — 27,011 rubles. The highest living wage for a pensioner was recorded in the Chukotka Autonomous District — 42,511 rubles, in the Kamchatka Territory — 28,666 rubles, in the Magadan Region — 28,340 rubles, in the Nenets Autonomous District — 26,712 rubles.

Balynin stressed that by the end of 2025, about 6.5 million people received a social supplement to their pension. 3.22 million citizens received a federal supplement, while 3.28 million received a regional supplement. According to him, if the total income of a non-working pensioner does not reach the subsistence level, he is assigned a federal or regional social supplement up to the value of this indicator in the region of residence.

At the same time, there is no provision for co—financing from the budget - as employers will be involved in transferring payments for employees.

On July 1, State Duma deputy and member of the Committee on Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Alexey Govyrin said that pensioners of the Far North who receive payments via mail or home delivery will no longer need to confirm their place of residence annually to receive a district allowance from July 1. It was noted that now purchase and sale transactions and donations can be executed remotely using biometrics and enhanced electronic signatures.
