In the US state of Florida, a woman shot and killed an army veteran as a result of a dispute over a parking space near a supermarket. This was reported on July 1 by CBS News, citing data from the Broward County Sheriff's Office.

"In Broward County, a man died after being shot during an argument over a parking space at a Walmart store in North Lauderdale," the publication says.

It is specified that the paramedics who arrived at the scene of the incident took the man to the hospital, where he died. According to the woman, she opened fire in self-defense.

According to the victim's sister, he was an army veteran and participated in Operation Desert Storm in Iraq.
