The Turkish Foreign Minister called Israel a problem for the entire world community.
Israel's policy has become a problem not only for the Middle East, but also for the entire international community. This was announced on July 2 by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.
"Israel is currently looking for a new enemy. <...> Israel is not only my problem, it is the problem of the whole world. That's how it should be explained. Israel is not only Turkey's problem, not only the problem of [Turkish leader] Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The fact that our president openly opposes him is a separate issue. But this is a common problem of all mankind," Fidan said in an interview with CNN Turk.
According to the minister, Ankara has already taken practical steps by completely stopping trade with the Israeli side. According to the minister, the suspension of trade turnover of about $10 billion is a clear political signal. Fidan also drew attention to the fact that a number of European states have imposed an arms embargo on Tel Aviv.
"The actions of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have caused damage, first of all, to Israeli society itself," the diplomat added.
Politico reported on June 27 that Israel is facing growing international isolation, despite recent joint military operations with the United States against Iran. American Vice President Jay D. Vance stressed that Israel needs to realize that its status as a special ally of the United States is no longer guaranteed.
On June 19, US President Donald Trump declared the need to keep Netanyahu "sane," despite the good relations between them.
