More than 550 emergency trees were removed in the Istra forestry in the Moscow region.

Since the beginning of 2026, more than 550 dangerous and emergency trees have been removed from the territory of the Istra Forestry in the Moscow Region. This will be announced by the regional forestry committee.

"Since the beginning of the year, over 550 emergency trees have been removed on the territory of the Istra branch of the State Agrarian University of the Ministry of Defense Mosoblles. These measures are primarily aimed at ensuring the safety of residents and protecting property," the statement said.

According to the online publication Podmoskovye Segodnya, inspections of the forest fund are carried out regularly. Specialists identify diseased and damaged trees, trees with rot, as well as trees that may fall on roads, power lines and buildings.

In June, it was reported that since the beginning of 2026, violators of forest legislation in the Moscow Region have been fined 38 million rubles. A total of 905 protocols were drawn up.
