- Sobyanin named the date of completion of the reconstruction of the school in Ivanovo
The reconstruction of two buildings of the Yuzhnoye Izmailovo school in the Ivanovskoye district is being completed in Moscow, Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said. According to him, the work is planned to be completed by September, by the beginning of the new academic year.
The school, located at 9 Chelyabinsk Street, "will have a modern and comfortable space for study, creativity, and sports," and teachers will have all the equipment "necessary to conduct interesting lessons," the mayor wrote on his channel in Maks.
The school, in particular, provides universal and specialized classrooms; spaces for events and classes in large and small groups; a laboratory and research complex for the study of natural sciences; a media library, sports, gym and dining halls. The sports infrastructure on the school grounds consists of a football field, a running track, a gymnasium, as well as a playground for passing the TRP standards and playing streetball. The building itself will be decorated in sandy olive colors.
According to Sobyanin, in the Ivanovskoye district, the My School program, which provides for the renovation of educational institutions, includes six schools, the reconstruction of two of them was completed last year. Work has begun on the reconstruction of two more buildings: on Entuziastov Highway (No. 1502) and Stalevarov Street (No. 1504).
In June, the mayor announced that more than 80 modern chemistry classrooms would be added to Moscow schools as part of the My School program. Classes will be designed not only to study theory, but also to conduct practical exercises and research. They are equipped with zones for individual and group work, separate laboratory rooms and sets of chemical reagents.
