The costumed sap Festival will be held in Serebryany Bor on July 12.
As part of the celebration of Moscow Transport Day, a costumed sap festival "This is Sap, Moscow!" will be held in Serebryany Bor Park on July 12. This was announced by Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry.
"On behalf of Sergei Sobyanin, we continue to develop the capital's water area as an important part of the transport system and a recreation space for citizens. On Moscow Transport Day, we will hold our traditional costumed sap festival in Serebryany Bor," Liksutov said.
To participate in the swim (9 km distance), pre-registration is required. If you do not have your own sapboard or life jacket, you must specify this when filling out the online form - the inventory will be provided free of charge, but the number of kits is limited.
The swim will take place from 12:00 to 18:00 Moscow time, registration of participants on the site will begin at 09:00 Moscow time. The launch site will be located on beach No. 3. Rescuers and paramedics will provide security during the festival.
The event program also includes lectures, master classes, and performances by artists. Free treats were also prepared for the guests.
Last year, as part of the festival "Moscow — on the wave. Fish Week" a costumed sap regatta was held in Serebryany Bor. Its participants went out on the water in the images of fairy-tale characters, cartoon characters, astronauts and witches. The jury selected the best men's, women's, children's and team costumes. The total prize fund was 1 million rubles.
