Residents of the capital regularly put forward initiatives to support military veterans, participants in their military operations and their family members. Many of these projects become winners and prize-winners of the city competition "FACES of the district," said the Department of territorial executive authorities of Moscow.
"Muscovites annually submit patriotic initiatives to the competition, which are designed to preserve historical memory and support our defenders and their loved ones. The Metropolitan Agency for Public Projects provides them with resource, information and methodological assistance," said Marina Prozorova, Deputy Head of the department.
So, the volunteers of the organization "Dobro Helps", led by the winner of the "FACES of the District" 2025 Roza Neyaglova, have held about 250 patriotic events since the beginning of their campaign, sent more than 40 tons of humanitarian cargo to the special operation zone, and made over 2.5 thousand trench candles. In addition to collecting and delivering basic necessities, medicines and food, the organization's members provide psychological, legal and social support to participants and veterans of their military and their families.
Activists of the Svoachniki association, which is coordinated by another prize-winner of the 2025 contest, Lydia Kasatkina, have produced over 9,000 units of dry army shower, 3,000 trench candles, collected over 500 units of medical products and more than 700 units of building materials. Humanitarian aid was sent not only to the participants of the SVO, but also to the families of the fighters.
The winner of the 2025 contest, Alexandra Dykan, the author of the project "Music to every veteran's home", together with the creative team organizes concerts for veterans of the Great Patriotic War, participants and veterans of their military service undergoing treatment in hospitals.
The "FACES of the District" competition has been held in the capital since 2020. It is organized by the Agency for Public Projects with the support of the Department of Territorial Executive Authorities of Moscow.
