In the United States, a woman managed to survive after falling from a height of 1,500 feet (about 457 m) on Mount Shasta. This was reported on July 1 by the CBS News channel.

"The woman suffered several injuries, but survived after falling from 1,500 feet <...> from Mount Shasta in California," the article says.

It is specified that the 31-year-old climber was climbing as part of a group of three people. The woman was found conscious with a suspected broken ankle and other injuries. California Highway Patrol officers successfully evacuated her from the mountain.

Yemen Online reported on June 14 that rescuers in Yemen found the body of climber Antar al-Absi, known by the nickname Spider-Man, a few hours after he fell into a crater with sulfurous waters of Damt volcano in the southern province of Al-Dali. It was clarified that he became popular on social networks due to videos on which he was engaged in mountaineering in dangerous mountainous areas without safety equipment.
