Dmitriev pointed to the impoverishment of British households by 23.2% in five years.

On July 1, Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and special presidential envoy for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries, commented on British Prime Minister Keir Starmer's statement about the most homosexual parliament in the world (the LGBT movement is recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation), comparing household dynamics in Britain and Russia.

On the same day, Starmer declared that the British parliament is the most homosexual in the world. According to him, he is proud of this and believes that there are no analogues to the supreme legislative body of the United Kingdom in any country in the world.

"Having the most 'gay' parliament in the world is no small achievement for the UK, Cyrus. But does this compensate for the fact that British households, on average, have become poorer by 23.2% over the past five years, while Russian households have become richer by 36.9%?" says Dmitriev in a post on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

With his departure, the problems in the government are unlikely to be solved, and trust in the traditional parties has been undermined.

On June 22, Starmer announced that he would step down as leader of the ruling Labor Party. According to him, he informed King Charles III of his decision.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on the same day that Starmer had not proven himself in any way in terms of Russian-British relations, and also expressed doubt that the situation would change after Starmer.
