The military personnel of the 1st Volunteer reconnaissance and assault brigade "Wolves" celebrated the Day of the Combat Veteran with a sports holiday on July 1.

One of the main objectives of the event is to give fighters from different units the opportunity to get to know each other, communicate and see that real heroes are serving nearby, who came to defend the country at the call of their hearts and souls, said the deputy commander of the reconnaissance and assault brigade "Wolves" for military and political work with the call sign Pioneer.

He added that such events help fighters returning from combat missions to switch and recover.

"We try to distract them with cultural and sports events in order to reboot them. We see that the guys like it, we hold such events on an ongoing basis," said the Pioneer.
