Iran's Foreign Ministry says Trump's commitment to silence Israel

US President Donald Trump, in the framework of a memorandum signed in Islamabad, committed himself to "silence" Israel. This was announced on July 1 by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi.

"The US president has committed to silence his "pets" in Tel Aviv," he wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

According to Araqchi, the terms of the memorandum are clear and public. He noted that Washington should restrain Tel Aviv's actions, and if Israel ignores the US position, Iran will "teach it a lesson." The Iranian foreign minister also warned that any threats against the people and the country's leadership would receive an "immediate and powerful response."

Bloomberg reported on July 1 that Trump's special envoys Steven Witkoff and businessman Jared Kushner held positive talks with regional leaders in Qatar on the Iran deal. It was noted that progress was continuing in some technical negotiations conducted by lower-level representatives.
