Auto expert warned about the dangers of Euro-3 gasoline for modern engines
Refueling a car on a regular basis with low-environmental gasoline, such as Euro-3, can lead to a number of technical problems that cannot be eliminated by immediate action. "Long-term use of Euro-3 gasoline is guaranteed to lead to accelerated wear of exhaust gas treatment systems. The first thing that will fail is the spark plugs. In addition, during the combustion of such fuel, solid particles and deposits are formed, which disrupt the mixing and lead to an increase in gasoline consumption," Babushkin said.
Special auto chemicals can be used to minimize these risks, the specialist noted. For example, there are long-acting fuel system cleaners that are poured directly into the gas tank, they can improve the properties of gasoline and help protect the fuel system of the car. However, even high-quality car chemicals will not help to remove harmful impurities and sulfur from the fuel, and the problem of poor quality of Euro-3 will not go away, the expert emphasized.
The expert also refuted the myth that Chinese cars are particularly sensitive to fuel quality, even more so than Japanese or European models.
"Today, the key technologies of the automotive industry are the same all over the world. Modern Chinese machines are based on the same technical solutions as European or Japanese ones. Therefore, it is not necessary to say that cars from China will react painfully to Euro-3. The consequences and technical risks for the Chinese will be the same as for other cars," he added.
The expert said on June 25 that the use of so-called fuel pills, which appeared on marketplaces and allegedly artificially increase the octane number of cheap gasoline, instead of benefits, is guaranteed to lead owners to overhaul the engine.
