Pavel Kudinov, a somnologist, has stated the dangers of sleeping in casual home clothes for a night out.

In conversation with aif.ru On Wednesday, July 1, the expert advised not to sleep in the home clothes that a person wore during the day. According to him, it is better to use special clothes for sleeping — pajamas, nightgowns or other things designed for this purpose, and casual home and outdoor clothes should be removed before rest.

The specialist noted that failure to follow this rule can worsen the quality of sleep. He explained that casual clothes are often too tight and squeeze the body, which is why a person does not reach the deep stages of sleep. As a result, the brain does not have time to complete the necessary recovery processes, which negatively affects the quality of rest.

In addition, Kudinov drew attention to the importance of thermoregulation. According to him, too dense or synthetic clothing prevents the body from maintaining an optimal body temperature, which also prevents a full and deep sleep.

Earlier, on June 29, experts warned about the dangers of work chats for the psyche and sleep quality. The constant waiting for notifications leads to brain exhaustion. Sleep therapist Nadezhda Arsentieva said on June 26 that frequent nighttime awakenings may be associated with poor sleep hygiene. These are noise, lighting, an uncomfortable sleeping place, an uncomfortable temperature in the room, as well as the habit of drinking coffee, tea, alcohol before going to bed, notes 360.ru .

On June 22, neurologist-somnologist Elena Tsareva, in an interview with RT, recalled that summer and winter sleep patterns differ. If a person gets up earlier than usual, the body naturally compensates for this by causing drowsiness earlier in the evening.

At the same time, Ksenia Doronina, a neurologist and somnologist, said that Russians began to visit doctors more often with suspicion of narcolepsy, a rare chronic sleep disorder in which a person can suddenly fall asleep at any moment. Most often, the disease develops due to a malfunction of the immune system, which can be triggered by infections, severe stress or injury, Moscow 24 notes.

Before that, on June 12, Elena Tsareva, in an interview with IA Regnum, named three main conditions for a good night's sleep in the heat. So, it is necessary to maintain a temperature of 18-21 degrees in the bedroom, provide fresh air and sufficient humidity. Somnologist Boris Yakovlev warned on June 9 about the dangers of sleeping with the lights on. According to him, weak light sources during sleep cause a serious impact on metabolism and the cardiovascular system, NSN notes.

In March, somnologist Elena Baranova, in an interview with the Moscow City News agency, stated that due to hormonal background, multitasking and increased emotional stress, women need to sleep half an hour longer than men.
