The State Duma proposed to give free land plots to combat veterans
A bill will be submitted to the State Duma (State Duma) on granting all military veterans the right to receive land plots free of charge. The corresponding initiative will be submitted to the State Duma by the chairman of the Fair Russia — For Truth party, Sergei Mironov, the document was reviewed by TASS on July 1.
The proposed amendments to the Land Code of the Russian Federation establish the right to land for veterans of military operations, military personnel and volunteers. It is proposed to extend a similar benefit to family members of participants in a special operation in the event of their death or injury. The bill also provides for a mechanism for monetary compensation in return for the land, which can be paid with the consent of the citizen.
A special procedure is provided for veterans living in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Sevastopol. Due to the shortage of vacant land in cities of federal significance, instead of land within these subjects, it is proposed to pay compensation or allocate land in neighboring regions.
"Fair Russia" proposes to create a unified system of land ownership. This will restore social justice to those who have shown courage and heroism in defending the interests of our Motherland," Mironov said.
On June 19, State Duma deputies from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation sent a letter to Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin with a proposal to compensate military personnel who receive civilian education for travel and housing costs. One of the authors of the request, first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Security and Anti-Corruption, first Deputy Chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Yuri Afonin, said that now the cost of travel and housing can become an obstacle for military personnel who want to receive additional education.
