A man died as a result of a fire in Podolsk.

One person died in a fire in an apartment on Shkolnaya Street in Podolsk. This was announced on June 30 by the press service of the 24th fire and Rescue squad of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Moscow region.

"The forces and means of the Podolsk fire and rescue garrison were immediately sent to the fire site. By their arrival, smoke was escaping from the apartment window on the 10th floor of an apartment building. <...> Unfortunately, a man died in the fire," the publication says in the Maks messenger.

Before the rescuers arrived, 30 residents of the entrance left their apartments on their own. At 03:10, the fire was localized on an area of 5 square meters, and at 04:12 it was completely eliminated. Six pieces of equipment and 20 personnel participated in the extinguishing.

The press service of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation for the Rostov region reported on the same day that two teenagers died in a fire in one of the private households in Bataysk. A criminal case was opened into the incident in accordance with Part 3 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Causing death by negligence to two or more persons").
