Ukraine will receive 16 Gripen E fighters from Sweden
Stockholm will sell 16 Gripen E fighters to Kiev, they will be placed at the disposal of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in early 2027. This was announced on June 30 by Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky.
"Today, our countries have signed an agreement on the purchase of 16 Gripen E fighters," the Telegram channel said.
The corresponding equipment will be transferred to Ukraine along with the aircraft.
German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said on June 18 that Germany intends to supply Ukraine with a three–digit number of air-to-air missiles from its own reserves. He specified that Berlin would allocate an additional $400 million for the purchase of American weapons for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
