Izvestia and REN TV topped Medialogia's May rating
By the end of May, Izvestia newspaper once again became the leader of the citation rating of print publications according to Medialogia. The citation index (CI) of the publication was 1.5 times higher than that of its closest competitor and amounted to 2261.52. The newspaper Kommersant is in second place (CI — 1500.38), and Vedomosti is in third (CI — 984.68).
"The leader of the rating in May among newspapers is Izvestia. The Izvestia newspaper reported that Roskomnadzor has strengthened control over users' IP addresses in Russia and has begun actively fining telecom operators for not providing data on subscribers' IP addresses. In an interview with Izvestia, Viktor Zykov, head of the Department of the Central Research Institute of the Ministry of Health, listed the territories of Russia where the largest and smallest amounts of alcohol are consumed," the report says.
At the same time, the REN TV channel with a citation index of 521.76 topped the TOP of the most cited TV channels. The most quoted materials were news about the arrest and search of singer Linda, an accident with a tour bus in Turkey, and information about an attack on the crew of the "Emergency Call" program in Moscow.
When calculating the rating, Russian federal media were taken into account, as well as online resources covering federal and regional events.
