The average pension of working Russians increased by 2.6 thousand rubles over the year.

The average pension provision for working citizens increased by about 2.6 thousand rubles over the year. This is evidenced by the data of the Social Fund of Russia, which was reviewed by RIA Novosti on June 30.

It is specified that in May 2026, the average payment for working pensioners was 23,721 rubles, whereas a year ago in the same period this amount was 21,106 rubles. Thus, the increase amounted to 2,615 rubles.

In addition, by the end of May 2026, the average pension provision for Russians reached 25,399 rubles.

At the same time, there is no provision for co—financing from the budget - as employers will be involved in transferring payments for employees.

Earlier, on June 26, it was reported that over the past two years, the number of Russian regions where the average amount of pension payments exceeded 30 thousand rubles has more than doubled. According to the Social Fund of Russia, in May 2024, a similar level of payments was recorded only in five regions of the country: in the Nenets and Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrugs, in Kamchatka, in the Magadan Region and in Chukotka.
