US President Donald Trump received a gold ring with 321 natural diamonds as a gift from the Antwerp World Diamond Center (AWDC). The gift is dedicated to the 250th anniversary of the independence of the United States. This was announced on June 29 by the press service of the center.

"The United States has been our most important trading partner for generations. A significant portion of the natural diamonds sold in Antwerp end up with American jewelers and consumers. With this ring, we wanted to celebrate these strong economic relations," the press service quoted AWDC Chairman Isidor Mersel as saying.

The ring is made of gold and is decorated with 321 natural diamonds and 75 other precious stones. The gift was given to the US Ambassador to Belgium, Bill White.

The center emphasized that only natural diamonds were used in the manufacture, since natural and artificial diamonds cannot be distinguished with the naked eye, but their origin, uniqueness, value and status are qualitatively different.

CNN reported on April 29 that King Charles III of Great Britain gave Trump a symbolic gift — a bell from a former British Navy submarine — as part of an official visit. Charles III noted that he was handing over to Trump the original bell, which was previously located on the conning tower of a submarine with the same name, emphasizing the connection between the historical heritage of the two countries and their allied relations.
