Corporal Markov carried a wounded comrade out from under the shelling of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Corporal Alexander Markov, acting as part of the evacuation group, carried a wounded soldier of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation to the evacuation point from the area of shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was announced by the Russian Defense Ministry on June 30.

It is specified that during the performance of first aid tasks on the battlefield and the delivery of the wounded to the evacuation point, the soldier came under massive fire and a raid by enemy FPV drones. According to the ministry, Markov took an advantageous position and began to repel the attack, covering the wounded soldier until the arrival of the fire support group, after which he gave him first aid and carried him to the evacuation site to be sent to a field hospital.

The Defense Ministry stressed that thanks to the courage of the corporal, the lives of several soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces were saved: they have already been rehabilitated in field medical institutions and returned to service.

In addition, the electrician driver, Corporal Andrei Romanov, despite the threat to his life, was able to deliver strike and reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to the positions, maneuvering in a loaded car under artillery fire from Ukrainian militants. Thanks to the courage and professionalism of the serviceman, the combat mission was completed, and the stable work of the UAV crews ensured timely support for the Russian assault units.
