In the Russian police, in particular in the departments of the State Traffic Inspectorate, there are many examples of how serving the law has become a family value. Moreover, there are entire dynasties in which children have followed in the footsteps of their fathers and grandfathers. At the same time, service in the State Traffic Inspectorate is not only the prevention and suppression of offenses. It is also a simple human attitude of patrolmen to those who need help. Details can be found in the Izvestia article.

The link of generations

In the Altai Territory, serving the law has become the life's work of three generations of the Avtsinov family at once. Ivan Fedorovich Avtsinov founded this tradition, which eventually became a family value, in the middle of the last century. In 1962, he joined the service of the senior operative of the criminal investigation department. 12 years later, he was appointed deputy head of the Volchikhinsky district police department, from which he retired in 1981 with the rank of major in the militia.

His son Sergey Avtsinov became the youngest police chief in the region. He worked his way up from a criminal investigation officer to the head of the Department of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Altai Territory. The family traditions of serving the law, laid down by his grandfather and father, are now continued by the head of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, Belokurikhinsky, police Major Ivan Avtsinov. Moreover, there is every chance that the family tradition will continue.: According to Ivan Avtsinov, one of his sons is the main road safety advocate at his school. So it is likely that in the future he will follow in the footsteps of his father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

There is a dynasty of law enforcement officers in the Moscow region. Viktor Vasilyevich Shishkin started this tradition in 1971, when he began his service in law enforcement agencies. Until 1999, he headed the 11th special battalion of the traffic police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Moscow region. His son Vasily also chose a difficult service in the internal affairs bodies in 1995. Now he serves as the state inspector of the Department of technical supervision in Istra. The family dynasty is continued by Viktor Shishkin's grandson (also Victor), who is graduating from the Kikot Moscow University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

Together for the service

Along with family dynasties, when children follow in their parents' footsteps by choosing to serve in the police, there are examples of families where both spouses ensure safety and law and order on the roads. For example, in the city of Ivdel, Sverdlovsk region, Stanislav Skachkov serves as the commander of a separate traffic police platoon in the territorial division of the State Traffic Inspectorate. His wife Natalia also serves there as an inspector for the promotion of road safety. A married couple successfully complements each other: the spouse, by the nature of her activity, is engaged in the prevention of offenses on the road, informs traffic participants how to behave correctly and safely on the highway. If her arguments did not work on someone, Stanislav is already dealing with them, identifying and suppressing the illegal actions of those who did not listen to Natalia's words.

And in the Republic of Tyva, the Kyzylsky division of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the intermunicipal Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia became the place where a new family was born. Ten years ago, starting her service in the police, a fragile girl, junior Lieutenant Saida Mai-oolovna, won the heart of traffic inspector Chayan Dorju. After a while, the police signed their names.: so there was one more married couple in the State Traffic Inspectorate of Tuva. The spouses together ensure safety on the roads of the republic.

Being human

Service in the State Traffic Inspectorate is not only about traffic control, crime prevention, registration of protocols and chasing reckless drivers. Often, this is just an ordinary human attitude towards those who need help. And traffic police inspectors provide it not by order or because "it's stated in the job description," but by the call of their hearts.

So, in the Ryazan region, late in the evening, while patrolling the Kaspiy federal highway, traffic police noticed a girl with two dogs on the side of the road, one of which was injured. It turned out that when the schoolgirl and her pets went to meet her dad returning from work, the animal was hit by a car, the driver of which did not even stop and fled the scene. The girl could not leave the injured four-legged friend, and the drivers driving along the highway apparently did not see anything strange in the fact that the child was on the road at night. Police officers in a patrol car took the girl and her pets home, where worried parents had already started searching for their missing daughter.

In Mordovia, traffic police noticed a dog tied to a tree near the road. Judging by the footprints in the snow, the former owners decided to get rid of the annoying live toy in such a barbaric way. The police untied the exhausted animal, fed it with its lunch, sheltered the husky with relatives and posted an ad about the foundling on social networks. After a while, the dog found a new family.

In the city of Yugorsk, Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug, the police received a report of a lynx walking along the streets. The first wild animal was discovered by traffic police officers. Given that the predator walking around the village posed a real serious threat to people, the police could have solved the problem radically by using their service weapons, as the law allows them to do so. But the traffic police showed humanity to the beast and, despite the risk of serious injuries from the lynx's teeth and claws, they were able to immobilize the animal with a piece of cloth. Then, together with the foresters, the patrolmen took the predator away from the city, where they released it into its natural habitat.

There is no such thing as someone else's trouble

In Ulan-Ude, an agitated man approached the traffic police who were registering an accident, who reported a fire in an apartment building. After notifying the duty station about the emergency and calling firefighters and paramedics, the patrolmen rushed to the wooden house engulfed in flames, from which cries for help were heard. One of the policemen climbed onto the roof of the burning building, breaking a window on the second floor, which was not yet engulfed in flames, and began evacuating the victims. His partner was receiving rescued residents downstairs. By the time firefighters arrived, the fire had already spread to the second floor of the house. But four people were already safe by that time, thanks to the actions of the traffic police.

Traffic police inspectors are on duty every day, risking their lives in the regions bordering the SVO zone. However, despite this, they not only ensure law and order on the border roads, but also constantly provide comprehensive assistance to residents during enemy attacks.

So, last fall, Belgorod traffic police inspectors witnessed a raid by Ukrainian Armed Forces drones on a civilian building. Arriving first at the scene of the emergency, they, despite the danger of a repeat attack, organized the evacuation of citizens to shelter, and themselves rushed to provide first aid to people using special stowage, which is equipped with official vehicles. State traffic Police officers applied a hemostatic tourniquet and a bandage to the wound to the seriously injured man and, having bandaged other victims with lighter herbs, cordoned off the emergency site, where explosive objects could be located, until the arrival of mine clearance specialists.
