French President Emmanuel Macron has reappeared in public wearing sunglasses due to a slap in the face from his wife Brigitte. This was announced on June 29 by the leader of the French Patriots party, Florian Philippot.

"Macron is back in his sunglasses! <...> Another slap in the face from Bridget or another act of insolence?" he wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

Philippot also recalled that the company producing the glasses that the French leader wore in January had gone bankrupt.
