Russian blogger Valeria Chekalina (Lerchek) gave an interview to Nadezhda Sagittarius about the fight against stage four stomach cancer and life changes. All the details are in the Izvestia article.

Details of the diagnosis

Repeated medical examination confirmed that 33-year-old Valeria Chekalina has stage four stomach cancer. The blogger found out about the disease during a routine ultrasound procedure during pregnancy, when doctors discovered changes in the placenta. Before that, she had been experiencing severe pain, which was mistaken for renal colic. Chekalina is currently undergoing chemotherapy and radiation therapy at the Blokhin National Medical Research Center for Oncology.

The interview was initiated by Valeria herself in order to stop speculation and criticism on social networks. According to her, many users accused her of faking the disease, especially against the background of training in the gym. Chekalina stressed that she tries to stay active and take care of herself as long as she can, despite severe medication and physical fatigue.

"I want to prove that it is possible to live with stage four cancer, enjoy life and defeat it. I believe that I will do it," Valeria Chekalina said.

Personal life and family

Lercek spoke about the breakup with her ex-husband Artem Chekalin, with whom she had been married for 11 years. She cited the lack of romance and the transformation of the relationship into an exclusively business partnership as the reason for the breakup. In March, the blogger gave birth to her fourth child, son Daniel, from dance coach Luis Squicciarini. The chosen one supports her during treatment, helping her cope with psychological and physical difficulties.

Chekalina shared details of how the disease changed her daily routine, mentioning hair loss due to therapy. According to her, Luis Squicciarini tried to protect her from unnecessary worries by secretly removing her hair until she decided to shave her head. Valeria noted that she openly discusses the situation with her older children, explaining the treatment process to them.

"I can lie in bed and feel sorry for myself, or I can use the time I've been given to make the most of it. I choose the second method," the blogger explained.

Litigation and business

Due to illness, the court suspended the criminal case against Valeria, who is accused of illegally transferring more than 250 million rubles abroad. The investigation believes that funds from the sale of fitness marathons were transferred to the UAE using forged documents. At the same time, the blogger's ex-husband, Artyom Chekalin, has already been sentenced to seven years in a penal colony in this case. Rumors are also spreading online that Chekalina's last pregnancy was deliberate in order to mitigate the sentence.

In parallel with her treatment, Chekalina is developing a new cosmetic brand, Eyya skin, which Luis Squicciarini is helping her create. The blogger noted that she currently does not receive direct profits from the project, as all funds are reinvested in production. Earlier, she left the Letique brand after incurring tax debts in the amount of 175 million rubles, which have now been fully repaid.
