Netanyahu to inform the United States about Erdogan's threats against Israel
Israel intends to inform the United States about the threats coming from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. This was announced on June 28 by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
"Almost no day goes by without Erdogan calling for the destruction of the State of Israel. We take these words very seriously. <...> We will also draw the attention of our American friends to these statements. We are their (threats. — Ed.) we are not ignoring," The Times of Israel newspaper quotes him as saying.
As Netanyahu explained during his speech at a cabinet meeting, Tel Aviv has developed this approach based on its historical experience. According to him, the country has always taken the threats it receives seriously.
